The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies organizes and co-sponsors a number of recurring events that cover a diverse range of topics and regions in Latin American and Caribbean.

From signature series, workshops, and annual conferences to welcome barbecues and film festivals, the purpose of the center is to foster academic interest in the region as well as to provide spaces to generate community among students.

Graduate Student Conference

The annual CLACS graduate student conference aims to generate interdisciplinary conversations on themes of shared interest and to encourage dialogue between scholars from Latin America and the Caribbean and US scholars who plan research in the region.
