image.pngOn February 16th, the scheduled Dominican Municipal Elections were canceled following technical difficulties while utilizing the newly implemented electronic voting systems nationwide. Since that day, Dominicans on the island and abroad have been protesting over the lack of transparency, accountability and what the future of democracy looks likes in the Caribbean island nation.
