CLACS’ Title VI National Resource Center grant provides a small amount of funding to support travel by core faculty members to present their research at professional conferences. To be eligible, the conference presentation must focus on research on Latin America or the Caribbean.

Currently, we are only able to support travel within the U.S. However, if you plan to attend a conference outside of the U.S., you may apply for funds and we will contact you if we are able to resume funding for international conference travel.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. To apply, submit a request to Laurie Medina (medina(at)msu.edu) with the following information:

1)    name of the organization sponsoring the conference
2)    dates and location of the conference
3)    your proposed travel dates
4)    title and abstract for your presentation
5)    proof of acceptance

6)    International travel also requires submission of a proposed itinerary of flights to and from your destination.
